OUR DONORS ARE OFFICIALLY ON SANTA'S GOOD LIST!🎅

We asked, and WOW— did you deliver! This #givingtuesday, we set a bold goal to raise $3,300 for 100 Kuranda dog beds. Thanks to YOUR incredible generosity, you not only met that goal, you shattered it— exceeding our expectations by an amazing 200%! 💥

A huge shoutout to our devoted volunteer Darrell Murphy, who donates his time to refurbish the Kuranda frames. Looks like Darrell will be busy, but thanks to YOU, more dogs will experience the gift of comfort and care this holiday season! 🐾🎁

THANK YOU!

HOLIDAY TREATS THAT GO TO THE DOGS

Prep Time 35 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 5 minutes
Servings: 42-44

Author: Kaylee Pauley (Adapted from My Baking Addiction)

Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh sweet potato puree
  • 1 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 3 Tbsp of all natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 salt optional, I didn't use
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Peel and cube 2 medium sweet potatoes, then boil for 15-20 minutes until soft. Drain and puree.
  2. In a small bowl, mix flour, oats, and cinnamon. In a large bowl, whisk egg, sweet potato, and peanut butter. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  3. Roll dough on a floured surface to 1/4–3/8 inch thick, then cut with a Christmas cookie cutter. Dust hands and rolling pin with flour if dough is sticky.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden. Cool on racks; they’ll harden as they cool.
Note: Salt can be added to extend shelf life, but it's optional. Avoid pumpkin spice blends or anything with nutmeg, as it's toxic to dogs. Cookie cutter size will affect the yield.

LIFE-SAVING IMPACT: MONTHLY DONORS TO THE RESCUE

When FOJA received an urgent call about a dog hit by a car, with severe injuries and in need of immediate care at ACPS, we didn’t hesitate. The shelter vet needed an orthopedic specialist—could we help? Our answer was a resounding "YES!"

But how could we commit so quickly without knowing the full cost? The answer is the unwavering support of our incredible group of monthly donors. From the very beginning, FOJA has operated on a simple principle: we only commit to expenses if we have the funds to cover them.

Thanks to the generosity of those who sign up for recurring monthly donations, we’ve built a steady stream of support, always ready to respond in times of need.

For as little as $5 a month, you can become a vital part of this life-saving mission. Whether you choose to donate monthly or even weekly, your commitment ensures we’re there for animals in crisis—no matter what. FOJA will thank you, but so will the countless animals whose lives you help save.
