Help with pet food and supplies

Below are Duval County organizations providing free pet food and supplies to families in need.  

Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) Pet Food Pantry

  • Saturdays, 10am to 12pm, JHS Warehouse, 1817 Foster Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32216. (Directly adjacent to the main shelter at 8464 Beach Blvd.)

  • Pet owners must provide proof that your pets are spayed/neutered to receive this service. No other eligibility requirements are necessary.

  • Best bet is to come by on a Saturday for more information.

First Coast No More Homeless Pets (FCNMHP) Pet Food Bank

  • First Coast No More Homeless Pets’ Jacksonville Pet Food Bank provides a one-month supply of cat or dog food to households with up to 4 dogs and 5 cats. To be eligible, all of your pets must be spayed or neutered.

  • If your family qualifies for free food, but your pet is not yet spayed or neutered, you are also eligible for our free spay/neuter surgeries.

  • Schedule varies based on supply. Will always be on a Saturday 10am-noon at the 464 Cassat Avenue Jacksonville, FL 32254 location.

  • Check their website for dates. Be sure to download the application forms.


Meals on Wheels:

  • Meals on Wheels provides free meals to senior citizens in need. Most of the programs also provide meals for the pets of the senior citizens in the program.
