Every month, homeless pets arrive at Jacksonville’s city shelter with health problems like heartworms that the shelter budget can't cover. That's where Friends of Jacksonville Animals (FOJA) comes in. A grant from your donor-advised fund (DAF) becomes a lifeline for these animals, and giving this way takes only a few minutes.

How to donate via donor-advised fund (DAF)

  1. Log in to your DAF account — or call your fund sponsor or financial advisor. See “Sponsor Information” below.

  2. Find us. Search for “Friends of Jacksonville Animals Inc”. (If the name search doesn’t find us, search by EIN 35-2349687.) 

  3. Choose your amount and purpose. “Heartworm treatment” or “where it’s needed most” are both welcome. Be aware, IRS rules don’t allow DAF grants to pay for event tickets, raffles, or memberships. 

  4. Submit — then tell us. Your sponsor reviews and sends the grant typically within a week or two. Please email donor@friendsofjaxanimals.com so we can watch for it and thank you.
